P&P&Zombies movie… finally some solid information

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies- Craig Gillespie directing, David O Russell script

Apparently, Gillespie will be potentially asking Keira Knightley and Colin Firth to do cameos in PPZ.  His current intent is said to be to keep the love story between Elizabeth and Darcy as the platform for the film.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies movie… Will it ever happen?

It’s looking grim for the Quirks Classic potential movie Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.  But why?  It was set to be a masterpiece- with Austen-style beauty and the undead combined.  Or something.  David O Russell, the planned director, bailed on the production.  As did Natalie Portman (set to be producing and acting as Elizabeth Bennet).  But… there might be some good news…

Top Ten Pride and Prejudice Book Covers

 Because, although we shouldn’t, we all do judge a book by its cover… so I decided to do a “Top Ten” of the best Pride and Prejudice book covers I could find.  Some of them (including the favourite) I have seen in book stores, whereas others I have only had the pleasure on the internet.   Choosing the perfect cover is a bit of an important exercise for your favourite book, and it can change the entire way you perceive a novel.  Myself- I have at least four copies, I’d say.  One is the boring orange-and-white penguin book, that was only about $10 and therefore I justified another copy.  Continue reading
